…..will be at Spirit of Sport on Thursday 12th September at 6pm.
There’ll be prizes for all who completed five races plus medals for age category winners.
I’d like to invite any and all interested senior members to come along to the presentation to support our juniors. There’ll be a training session afterwards, please come along ‘kitted up’ and join in if you dare!
That’s it folks; it’s all over!
The final results table is below; well done to all who took part and congratulations to our medal winners;
Grace Root (u8), Jackson McKay (u10), Ella Dorrington Levy (u10), Briony Holt (u12), Alice Pier (u14), Kenan Eti (u14) and Beth Quinn (u16).
The u16 boys category finished in a dead heat with George Pier and Jordan McDonald on the same score, having beaten each other twice. We’ve decided to make it a joint first, with a medal for both (we’ll change the rules next year to make sure it doesn’t happen again!)
Presentation will take place at Thursday training, at the start of the Autumn term, exact date tbc.
Junior Summer Series 2013 – Final Results
This is the final race in our summer series and is again hosted by Calder Valley. It’s another classic on rough terrain and we’ve had a great turn out in the past. It’s a midweek evening race and all the details are on the CALDER VALLEY JUNIORS website
LATEST SUMMER SERIES RESULTS; ALL TO PLAY FOR IN THE U14 BOYS CATEGORY WITH ONLY ONE RACE LEFT!
DON’T FORGET; There’ll be no training on Tuesday 16th July
Sixteen juniors made the trip over to Chiserley above Hebden Bridge for a well organised and hotly contested event.
All worked really hard for their results and we came away with some new course records and category wins. Grace Root was first u8 girl, Jackson McKay first u10 overall and Briony Holt first u12.
As the race was unexpectedly run as ‘age on the day’ Kenan Eti found himself promoted to u16 but coped extremely well and nearly beat George Pier to the finish.
Well done to everyone, a superb team effort and thanks to Gillian Wisbey and marshalls of Calder Valley for organising the event
Results are HERE. Lots of great pictures from Dave Woodhead
We had a great turnout for Race 8; seventeen juniors made the trip to Chorley on Friday 5th June for a fast 1 mile course within Astley Park. George Pier was the outright winner by 15 seconds and Briony Holt came home first girl in 8th overall. Well done to all of you.
