Club Fell Championship

Congratulations to our 2021 Club Champions Carl Heliwell and Michelle Abbott.

The 2022 Championship is in the format we hoped to use in 2020 as outlined below.

An open competition to find the best male and female fell runner. The top lady and top gent to win a trophy, retained for 12 months with additional awards for age categories man and lady at Sen, V40, 50, 60 and 70.

Best FOUR from TWELVE races to count, to include a minimum of one at each distance (S,M,L + one at any)

Vet 70 – ANY three races to count.

First Clayton Man/Lady in each race to be awarded 50 pts, second, 49 pts, third 48 pts etc.

Bonus points are available as follows: Overall Race win (i.e. first place M or F) +5pts.  Overall top ten (M/F) +3pts.

In the event of a tie (more than one runner on same points after best four qualifying races, then the championship will be decided on head to head record.  If still a tie or no head to head race took place between the tied competitors, then the competition is jointly won.

Fell Championships are prioritised for FRA members and entry in advance.  All continue to be subject to change due to Covid. Should Covid impact on multiple races in the schedule the Championships will be reviewed and potentially changed (or cancelled as a final resort).
